Jimmy (Jefferson White) was given the ol’ heave-ho by John Dutton (Kevin Costner) after he broke his word to the elder Dutton when he got back on a bucking bronc and got thrown off and injured yet again. Calling in a favor, John has sent Jimmy down to Texas to the Four Sixes ranch in hopes that Jimmy will grow up and learn to be a cowboy instead of a constant failure. Jimmy leaves Mia (Eden Brolin) behind but not before she leaves him, after getting fed up that Jimmy still doesn’t see her as family or someone he can count on (even though she’s the only one that’s really been by his side after this most recent accident). Jimmy’s departure sets up his character’s inclusion on the upcoming Yellowstone spinoff, 6666 about the Four Sixes ranch down in Texas (a real working ranch that Taylor Sheridan and a consortium recently purchased). It’s been long rumored that Jefferson White and Ryan Bingham (who plays Walker on Yellowstone) will be a part of the new spinoff. Last week’s exit certainly sets that up for Jimmy. With Walker constantly looking over his shoulder to make sure Lloyd (Forrie J. Smith) or someone else doesn’t stab him in the back, the show is already setting up for that character’s exit as well. This week’s episode of Yellowstone, “Winning and Learning,” finds Jamie (Wes Bentley) receiving some surprising news while Beth (Kelly Reilly) receives a surprising offer. Jimmy settles in on the road and tensions boil over in the bunkhouse. In this Parade.com exclusive first look at “Winning or Learning,” Jamie and his biological dad, Garrett Randall (Will Patton) share a touching father-son moment. New episodes of Yellowstone air Sunday at 8 p.m. ET on Paramount Network. Next, 11 Western TV Shows to Watch if You Love Yellowstone
