In a video that the 56-year-old shared on TikTok, the Canadian-born musician overjoyed fans with a never-before-seen clip of her in the studio discussing her music and recording process while filming for the newly-released documentary, Shania Twain: Not Just A Girl. “One thing I learned during the filming of the Not Just A Girl documentary is… There’s so much stuff that doesn’t make the final cut!! I want to share some of those unseen moments with you because it would be a shame to waste them! This one is pretty fun - Here’s me harmonising [sic] with… me!! 😂🥰” she captioned the post. In the video, her 1997 hit Man! I Feel Like A Woman! can be heard playing before Twain pauses it to laugh and share a memory from when she originally recorded the song. “So I remember recording this, by the time I would get to the last third of that chorus, it was really, really tiring,” she recalled. “It’s a hard song to sing, actually.” Twain continued: “I feel like, I should do my own warm ups to that vocal. I like to harmonize with myself—I’m now harmonizing with my 30-something self.” “It’s pretty cool,” she said under her breath—and with a slight smirk—before jumping right into the last bit of the song’s chorus. The singer didn’t miss a beat and seemed pretty pleased with her end result, concluding, “That’s pretty fun.” You can watch the Queen of Country Pop harmonize with her younger-self in the embedded video above.
