Chadwick Boseman, who tragically passed away in August 2020, made history with four SAG Award nominations in a single year. Also earning big nods were The Walking Deadalum Steven Yeun for Minari and I May Destroy You star Michaela Coel, both of whom were snubbed from Golden Globes nominations, as were Linda Cardellini and Christina Applegate for Dead to Me. The Crown was heavily nominated for its female cast, including breakout star Emma Corrin for her heartbreaking portrayal as a young Princess Diana. Schitt’s Creekalso earned cast nominations, and Bridgertontwo nods: One for ensemble cast and another for Regé-Jean Page. Of course, there were some surprises too, including Jared Leto for The Little Things. But the event itself was a treat, and the winners were deserving.
