The greenery and floral backdrops still persisting in the early fall day boasted a fairytale setting, especially with the soothing sound of running water throughout, in the video Pfeiffer shared on Instagram, giving her followers a little glimpse into her day in New York City. “Gave myself permission to get lost in Central Park this morning (because I always end up getting a little lost…) and found myself in a new place I had no idea even existed,” Pfeiffer said of the adventure in her Instagram caption. “I’ve been coming to the Big Apple for decades… It’s crazy to still be discovering things here. Love an unexpected surprise & delight. ☀️” The Hairspray actress didn’t speak during her recap, instead focusing on the scenery and sounds of the park, set to Norah Jones’ “Sunrise.” First, she showed a brief clip with her front-facing camera. Pfeiffer donned a blue sunhat and a black face mask with her blonde hair kept out of her face with two braids. Next, she showed off the Bethesda Fountain and its immediate surrounding architecture. Up next was a family of geese in one of the park’s many bodies of water, followed by a walk across the Bow Bridge. The only thing missing was the stereotypical meet cute we’d expect to see with those location shots! Can anybody get Tom Hanks or Patrick Dempsey on the phone? It’s not clear which setting, if any, of the ones featured in her Instagram post was newly discovered to her today, but it’s obvious she had a peaceful reprieve in the city that never sleeps.
