As Parade previously reported, news that Kim Kardashian and boyfriend Pete Davidson called it quits hit the public on Friday, with a source citing that “long distance and their demanding schedules made it really difficult to maintain a relationship.” Upon learning the news, Kardashian’s ex-husband emerged from his social media hiatus to share his reaction to the announcement. On Monday morning, the Donda rapper posted a single photo to Instagram explaining how he feels about the split. The image—a mock cover of The New York Times newspaper—read: “Skete Davidson Dead at Age 28” in big bold, capitalized letters. At the time, he left the post caption-less. Davidson is quite obviously, very much alive, but the sarcastic cruel message is nothing new for West. The 45-year-old’s “Eazy” music video garnered widespread controversy over its depiction of the SNL comedian being kidnapped, buried alive and seemingly decapitated, communicating the rapper’s pure disdain and disapproval of the relationship the actor shared with his former-wife. In addition, he also aimed a string of social media attacks at Davidson in the past. Aside from his somewhat dark idea of a celebratory response showing how elated he is that the two are no longer dating, Davidson wasn’t the only person West trolled with the post. The subtitle of the faux newspaper was a direct hit at Kid Cudi, another music artist that West was previously very close to but has had his fair share of drama with. “Kid Cudi meant to play funeral but fearful of bottle throwers,” it read in tiny text, referencing Cudi’s recent experience at the 2022 Rolling Loud Festival, where he stormed off-stage mid-performance due to being pelted with water bottles by festival attendees. For background, the “Day ‘N’ Night” rapper replaced West as headliner for the set, and apparently his stans weren’t too pleased with that decision, ultimately taking action into their own hands. The two have had a roller coaster relationship over the years, starting from the time West signed Cudi to his label in 2008, and getting into a multitude of spats for a variety of reasons since then. The most recent tension was apparently caused by Kid Cudi’s friendship with Pete Davidson. Regardless of all that has transpired regarding this situation, the Yeezy designer’s post amassed nearly two million likes in just three hours, so he’s obviously not the only one happy about the breakup. Kardashian on the other hand, was not so happy about the way her former husband addressed the personal situation. “She has been vigorously defending Pete. She’ll never get back together with Kanye over the way he’s treated the people she loves and respects,” a source told the Daily Mail. The source continued: “She has tried incredibly hard to have a good co-parenting situation for the children. She won’t stand for this type of behavior from him.” The outlet also reported that the reality star demanded West take down the social media post. The saga continues, but as with all celebrity squabbles, we’re hoping for an amicable resolution between all parties involved! More News:
