What is The Perfect Pairing about?
Influential and anonymous food and wine critic Christina(Nazneen Contractor)finds herself at a winery she panned in the past.Hoping to leave before anyone finds out who she is, she tries to make a quick getaway but instead slips on an icy sidewalk and hits her head.The Hollingbrook family, led by single father Michael (Brennan Elliott)graciously takes Christina inwhile she recovers and tries to jogher memory.In the process, Christina helps the Hollingbrooks prepare for their annual wine tapping party, which includes Michael’s risky passion project, ice wine.
Who’s in The Perfect Pairing cast?
Nazneen Contractor (Christina)
Contractor first joined the Hallmark family back in 2020’s The Christmas Ring. Born in India, she lived in Nigeria and then Toronto, Canada. She and her husband, actor Carlos Rota, both had recurring roles on 24, but at different times during the show’s run. Brennan Elliott (Michael)
Elliott first project with Hallmark Channel was in 2013 as part of the ensemble cast of Cedar Cove. He soon became a fan favorite after starring in All of My Heart opposite Lacey Chabert. He and Chabert also currently star in the Crossword Puzzle Mystery franchise of films on Hallmark Movies & Mysteries. He most recently starred in Open By Christmas with Alison Sweeney. The Perfect Pairing was filmed at the Pellar Estates Winery in Ontario, Canada. Pellar Estates has won many awards for their wines and they have several ice wines available to purchase. Check it out here.
Is there really a wine like the one seen in The Perfect Pairing?
Yes there is! Hallmark Channel launched a series of wines starting with Jingle and Joy. They’ve since added several more including a sweet dessert wine that coincides with The Perfect Pairing. The late harvest sauvignon blanc was produced from nearly frozen grapes similar to the ice wine seen in the movie. You can purchase it and other Hallmark Channel wines here.
