“TLC was deeply saddened by the loss of Gina Krasley, who shared her weight-loss journey on ‘My 600lb Life,’" tweeted TLC. “Our thoughts and prayers are with her family at this difficult time.” Krasley appeared on an episode of My 600-lb Life in January 2020 called, “Time Is Running Out For Gina”. On the show, she shared that weight had been challenging for her since she was a child. She said she escaped to food after being bullied and then acted out. Her father brutally punished her punching her until her nose bled, kicking her until she was black and blue and telling her over and over that she was unworthy. By the time she was 10, she weighed 150 pounds, and by 14, she was at 300 pounds. When she was on the show she was over 600 pounds and shared that she was only getting bigger. As she said, “If I don’t do anything now, it’s just gonna get worse and I’m going to die.” Since appearing on the show, Kresley gained a following on social media and became known for her dances on Tik Tok. According to her obituary, “Her greatest passion was dancing, and she would make up dances with her sister and kids in the neighborhood growing up." Her dream was to create a dance studio for special needs children. Her mantra was always, “dancing has no size limit.” Next, A Psychologist Explains Why Celebrity Deaths Make Us Sad
