Arcade Snacks of Auburn, Massachusetts, has recalled its 15-ounce packages of candy corn because they may contain eggs as an undeclared ingredient and potential allergen.  According to the official statement on the FDA website, people allergic to eggs run the risk of severe or life-threatening adverse reactions if they consume these products. The recall was initiated after it was discovered that the candy (which contains eggs) was distributed in packaging that did not reveal the presence of the allergen. Fortunately, no illnesses have been reported to date in connection with this problem. The recalled candy corn was distributed in Massachusetts and Connecticut at the following locations:

The product is packaged in a 15-ounce, clear plastic container marked with UPC #0 18586 00114 4 and a best-by date of 3/8/2023 on the back panel label.
