We had 18 wonderful years together with the many dogs we fostered and adopted. He was a beautiful and fascinating man with many talents and skills. I will miss him forever.” The Missouri native but California-raised actor worked in film before landing his first soap role as Kevin Thompson on As the World Turns (1975-78), which was followed by a role on the primetime soap Bare Essence (1983), and then his big break as Dex on Dynasty (1983-1989). He then segued from playing Alexis Carrington’s third husband on Dynasty to playing Erica Kane’s (Susan Lucci) husband on All My Children (1991-1999, 2000-2001, 2013).
