The airline has announced that it will offer complimentary “Companion Passes” for travelers that fly with the airline this fall. Those Southwest Companion Passes can be redeemed for a free plane ticket in early 2023. There is a catch, though—the deadline to score the deal is swiftly approaching. Here’s how it works: First, for travelers to even be eligible for the promotion, they must be part of Southwest’s frequent flier program (Rapid Rewards), and they’ll need to register for the offer on the airline’s website. After signing up, Rapid Rewards members need to purchase a roundtrip flight or two one-way tickets between Sept. 6 and Sept. 8. But be careful because that’s not all! The airline also requires those who want to be eligible for the promotion to travel with the airline before Nov. 17. Rapid Rewards members who signed up for the offer and traveled on or before the Nov. deadline will have met the conditions to receive a Southwest Companion Pass when the company releases them on Jan. 4, 2023. These passes can be redeemed for a complimentary plane ticket for the flier’s Designated Companion early next year. Basically, the deal functions as a buy-two-get-one free plane ticket to be used for travel during dates that fall within the promotional period, extending from Jan. 4, 2023 to March 4, 2023. And if you don’t already have a flight booked, there’s still time! Southwest currently offers routes that fly passengers to and from major cities nationwide, along the coasts of Mexico, as well as parts of the Caribbean and Central America. More News:
